Dirt and breath, and the light of the sun.
In my cracked eyes the starlight is undone.
Tell the stars what they want to hear, soft voices.
A kiss for lies, a turned head for a soul, unkind choices.
A couple, smiles that are a poor imitation of the moon.
Give me the self sustaining light goddess, a sacred boon.
A star in armor, the skin of a girl, without the blame of sex.
A devilish thing, the desire to touch, the uncanny, carnal hex.
If the starlight within could mix with hers, Andromeda colliding,
Then we could be two galaxies whole, nothing worth the hiding.
But I am dirt and breath, and the starlight faded into the ground.
I flew into the black hole flesh orbits, a sweet and perfect sound.
