As Paradise Is Dim

The snow that never left,

The riches that were our future’s theft,

I put him in the ground, no hope remains.

Faith and hope are cruel, unforgivable stains.

The grey stone sky that never shows the sun,

The snow harsh and turned icy, never undone.

We evolved and made a world, just to burn it down.

We were damned to death, to all these wonders drown.

I lay in out empty bed, hoping for sleep, for dreams of him.

I can only imagine the stars and the moon, as paradise is dim.

No longer the comfort of his touch, his arms holding me tight.

No longer knowing he was there with me, in this eternal blight.
