A million light years away.
Red wine on an empty stomach makes my
Head spin like the moon.
Makes the stars smear into white dust that
Falls like snow.
A spirit came down once, Joan, my favorite
Saint, light and warmth
As I slept in the forest, to escape from this world, invisible blood spilled
To sour dreams and my love for them,
For the world i had come to.
I remember her. And i see angels with
Almond eyes, silver light chariots
And her behind the world and it’s faces
And it’s guillotine blossoms
And the times she and those black eyed
Angels come, all is well.
This night I spin into the sky, and she will
Kiss my cheek
And I’ll wish I could stay in the light of her
And the silent place she dwells.
A place where I am not bleeding out all
That is precious to me.
I want to leave all this brokenness behind.
